Our office provides emergency services for eye infections, eye injuries, and other eye discomfort. We have state-of-the-art equipment which allows our optometrists to examine the front surface of the eye, as well as digitally scan inside the eye for infection or damage.
You should call us immediately for an appointment if you are experiencing any of the following:
- Sore, red, dry, irritated, or itchy eyes
- Foreign materials stuck in the eye (wood, metal, eyelash, or other foreign particles)
- Eye infections or eye trauma
- Scratched eyes
- Sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes
- Flashes of light in the vision
- “Floaters” in the vision
- Dislodged contact lenses
- Painful eyes
- Eye allergies or burns
- “Pink eye” or other bacterial infections
We believe your eye health and comfort is our most important priority. That is why we will always make time to see you in the case of an eye emergency. In addition, at CEA, we understand that not all eye emergencies happen during office hours. That is why we have an emergency number on our answering machine that you can call outside of clinic hours.
We are all busy and sometimes it is easy to put off coming in when we are experiencing any of the above symptoms. However, if left untreated, these symptoms can turn into a long-term problem affecting our vision, including an eye disease.
At CEA, you can be sure that your eye health and sight are our top priority. Please, if you are experiencing any of the above symptoms, give us a call right away.
